You photos that until now existed only on paper can now be turned into canvases, in a simple and easy manner. The photos can be either in traditional print or can be downloaded from a digital camera. The process is very simple. All that you have to do is to upload your photo to Canvas on Demand.
Click the "order your canvas" button and you will be taken through the upload process. Images that are 2 meg or higher are great. Those under 2 Meg but higher than 0.
7 Meg are usually workable. You can scan your image using a flat bed scanner and send it to us. You finished canvass will be shipped to you within 4-5 business days from the time the image is uploaded.
The process with traditional prints is just as easy. Select the traditional print button when prompted, in a few days you will receive a custom prepaid mailer. Insert the photo as directed and drop it in the mail.
Expert artists to enhance its color and bring out certain nuances in photo realistic style manipulate the images. The image will then be artistically cropped to fit into the canvas. If you so desire, only a part of the photo can be cropped and reproduced. Following the photo realistic style, using a specialized tablet and stylus we add brushstrokes by hand to give the look and feel of a traditional painting. Your black and white photos can be turned into a color canvas. The colorization will depend on the color preferences provided by you or else we use our best judgment.
Sepia tone canvases too can be created. Your treasured family photos which have been damaged, with creases, tears, scratches, torn corners, fading and the like can be restored and masterfully reproduced on canvas. Black and white canvases can be created from color or black and white photographs. Photo collages can also be created with multiple images and combined onto one canvas to tell a story. Alternately items from different photos can be taken and combined onto one canvas. The canvas used by us is heavy weight artist canvas made from the highest quality fabric ideal for photographic and fine art reproductions.
Our canvases are treated with a UV inhibiting coat, that protects the canvas from fading and is rated to last for over 100 years. Like any art works, the canvases should be spared from direct sunlight. Clean with a soft dry cloth or feather duster only.
Water should never be used to clean the canvas because water droplets will permanently mark the canvas. The gallery wrapped finish is used wherein the canvas is stretched over the wooden supports and stapled at the back. This finish allows you to hang the piece without a frame. If you prefer you can still frame it. Wood frames made with Framerica Mouldings are used.
